FedEx Registration Guide lines and Services

Overview:

In this step we will check only for how to register in FedEx website to generate account number, meter number, Assess Key and password. So we can use it this information to create shipment, getting the rate information before shipment, validation of shipment, address validation delete shipment etc…

What is FedEx?
FedEx Corporation is an American multinational courier delivery services company.

What does FedEx deliver?
Select the service that delivers by your specified time. For FedEx Ground shipments, FedEx deliver by the end of business day on the scheduled delivery day. For FedEx Home Delivery shipments, FedEx deliver between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m., Monday through Saturday.

FedEx has many services for the shipment like Package Shipment, Freight shipment and Return shipment.You can also use service type Freight, Express, Ground, International etc…

So let’s start how to open account and registered in FedEx website.

Go to FedEx site FedEx Log In or Sign Up button after that select create account. It will redirect you to another page and ask for account type, in that select which account you want to open in the FedEx. Here I have selected OPEN A PERSONAL ACCOUNT. After that will display contact information form to fill it.

If you have selected BUSINESS ACCOUNT then it will ask you for with or without FedEx rewards you want to open account in the FedEx.

In the PERSONAL ACCOUNT you need to fill below details in the contact information step.
After filling the contact information details it will display registration confirmation details for which user you have used in the registration. In the BUSINESS ACCOUNT you have to fill account information like below image.
After you registration FedEx Asses Key, Account number and Meter number will display. So based on this information you can create your package. In every process you have to set your credentials like address validation, Shipment validation, rate information, Create Open shipment etc…
Here in this form FedEx test system access information will be display. So you will get Developer Test Asses Key, Test Account number, Test Meter number, Test FedEx Office Integrator ID, Test Client Product ID and Test Client Product version.

While creating shipping request, getting rate, validating address, validating shipping information etc... You need this credentials to set in your parameter for access the Test environment of FedEx.

After this completion you will get a mail from FedEx for your Password and URL. This password is and remaining information is most important to set in the FedEx credentials for login in the FedEx Test environment.

Along with Password and URL in the mail which you will get from FedEx it will give FedEx Web Services Testing Information, FedEx SmartPost® Returns Testing Information, FedEx Web Services Freight LTL Testing Information (used in the Freight Shipment Detail like FedEx Freight LTL Shipper, FedEx Freight LTL Bill-To, FedEx Office Web Services Testing Information details in the mail.
FedEx used Outbound, Inbound, Heavyweight and Domestic services International package shipping. Import or export, express or less urgent, small packages or heavyweight.
